When I was little, my dad got deployed to Columbia for a while, and at night I would crawl into my mom’s bed and just cry my eyes out; when she asked me why I was crying I would tell her I was afraid Daddy wouldn’t remember me when he came back (and I thought he was going to get bit by a snake). That time, he came back and he remembered me. This time I’m not so sure.
